Massage FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What type of massage do you offer?

I specialise in deep tissue massage, holistic bodywork, and tension-release therapy. My treatments focus on relieving muscular pain, improving mobility, and helping the body fully relax and reset.

2. What conditions can massage help with?

Massage may help reduce:

  • Neck, shoulder, and back pain
  • Muscle tightness and knots
  • Stress and anxiety tension in the body
  • Headaches caused by tension
  • Fatigue and general body stiffness

Every treatment is tailored to what your body needs on the day.

3. Will the massage be painful?

Deep tissue work can feel intense in tight areas, but it should never feel unbearable. I always work within your comfort level and adjust pressure throughout the session.

4. How will I feel after a massage?

Most clients feel lighter, looser, and deeply relaxed. Some may feel mild soreness for 24–48 hours if deeper tension has been released — this is completely normal and part of the healing process.

5. How often should I have a massage?

This depends on your body and lifestyle.

  • Chronic pain or tension: every 1–2 weeks
  • General maintenance: every 3–4 weeks
  • Relaxation: as needed

I can also advise you after your session based on your body’s response.

6. Do I need to prepare before my appointment?

No special preparation is needed. Just wear comfortable clothing, stay hydrated, and arrive a few minutes early so you can fully relax into the session.

7. Do you offer home care or self-massage advice?

Yes. I always give personalised aftercare tips, including stretches, pressure points, and simple techniques you can use at home to maintain results.

8. Do your techniques connect to your books?

Yes — my treatments are closely linked to The Healing Touch book series. The books teach you how to understand and release pain at home using similar techniques I use during massage sessions.

9. Can massage help emotional stress too?

Yes. The body stores emotional tension in muscles, especially in the neck, shoulders, jaw, and lower back. Massage can help release both physical and emotional stress, leaving you feeling clearer and calmer.
